Albany Rock Pit to Host Music events at September’s Too (COLONIE, NY) - Albany Rock Pit, Colonie’s newest music school will present their “Rock Weekend”, showcasing 80’s Heavy Metal and music from the British Invasion played by the music school students at September’s Too, located at 1165 Central Avenue, Albany. The 80’s Heavy Metal concerts will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 3 for a 3 p.m. show. The British Invasion show is also on Saturday, 5 p.m. and Sunday for a 1 p.m. show. A $5 suggested donation at the door and Albany Rock Pit merchandise will be available to purchase.
Mike and the Underdogs to perform at The Ale House (TROY, NY) - Local music trio Mike and the Underdogs will perform some music after all the Troy Victorian Stroll happenings at The Ale House, located at 680 River St., Troy, Sunday, Dec. 3, 7 p.m. This free show will feature area musicians Mike McMann, Sten Isachsen, and Bob Buckley and it is also McMann’s birthday celebration.

Colonie Senior Center to Host Two December Concerts (COLONIE, NY) - Colonie Senior Services Center will be getting people into the holiday spirit by hosting two free Irish concerts in December inside the Lakeview Room of the Beltrone Center, located at 6 Winners Circle in Albany, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and music starting at 6 p.m. Entertainment will be provided first by The Poppin Corks, a new trio performing traditional and contemporary Irish music Monday, Dec. 4, and on Monday, Dec. 11, Triskele, an all-female Celtic band, will perform. Colonie Art League Small Works Sale at William K. Sanford Library (COLONIE, NY) - The Colonie Art League is having their 2023 Holiday Show at the William K. Sanford Town Library in Colonie during the month of December. The exhibit opening on Dec. 3 with the artist reception from 2-4 p.m., will run through Friday, Dec. 29 for artwork pick up. The exhibit will feature miniature works of art from members of the Colonie Art League. This year’s judge for the exhibit was Theresa Somaio, an art educator and artist specializing in teaching oil, watercolor, and pastel painting classes throughout the Capital Region. Grand Chanukah Celebration to be held at Colonie Center
COLONIE - The Colonie Chabad will host their sixth annual Chanukah Celebration inside Colonie Center at the Center Court in front of Boscov’s lower-level floor Thursday, Dec. 7, from 5:00-6:30 p.m., with a candle lighting ceremony at 5:45 p.m. Colonie Town Supervisor Peter Crummey will light the shamash-servant candles in solidarity with the Jewish Community and Israel. Live music will be provided by Mel Wigler and her accompaniment, as well as latkes and other delicious treats served at the celebration, a menorah lighting, balloon twisting, and other Chanukah fun for all ages. Putnam Place to Host Holiday Craft Expo Through 12/18 (SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY) - Returning for its second year at Putnam Place is the Holiday Craft Expo, held from 7-9 p.m. during the Family Tree jam session every Monday evening, beginning 11/27 and running through 12/18. For $25 entry, artists are encouraged to bring their crafts, table, and chairs to use for the expo. Putnam Place is located at 63a Putnam Street, Saratoga Springs.
